Tessa

My name is Tessa and I am the music teacher for Angel Wings. I studied musical theatre and voice in post-secondary before falling in love with psychology. I ended up graduating with a Bachelor of Music Therapy from Capilano University. Music Therapy and Music Education allow me to use my favourite medium to educate and assist young children in a myriad of settings. I have loved working at Angel Wings for the past year and can’t wait to introduce the students to more music!

I have been working with children for 8 years and have been teaching music for 5 in a variety of areas. I have completed practicums working with children with autism, and women and children escaping domestic violence. I also completed an 8 month internship at the Alberta Children’s Hospital before shifting to more music education work.

I am an avid reader of fiction and can often be found with a book or snuggling with my Bernese Mountain Dog, Obi Wan. I can also be found running a small children’s entertainment business that allows me to make childhood dreams come true.
